Product Management
 
From the Left Menu, click "Products/Product/Product Manager" in the admin area. This will list all existing products in your database. From "Product/Add", you may add new products.
 
Adding New Products:
 
1) The easiest way to add new products is to click " Products/Product" from the left menu in the admin area, THEN click the "ADD".
 
2) Fill in all the fields appropriate for this product.
 
Field Description
Product Code  
The code through which the product is identified. It is same as the item code example the product is Long Sleeves T-Shirt it is given a code called L123.
Product Name
Give your product a name, say long sleeve T-Shirt. Your product name can be up to 255 characters long. It can only consist of letters and numbers. HTML tags are not supported for product name.
Retailer Price  The price of the product for the retail customer.
WholeSale Price
Only viewed by the Wholesalers. The wholesaler price list is mentioned. The wholesalers can view the retail prices too.
Shipping Weight 
The weight of the product. The shipment procedure needs to know the weight of the product if want to choose live shipping rates from UPS, Fedex etc.
Available Categories
The list of categories and sub categories in your store. Every product needs to be in particular category or sub category.
 
3) Upload the product's photos (see below for instructions).
  * Each of your main product photos must be resized to three smaller sizes
   
Blow-Up Image : If you choose to upload a blow-up image, your customers will be able to click on the Large Product Image when viewing your product description. The blow-up product image will pop-up as a new window. It must either be in GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) format and no larger than 200K. For optimum effect, your blow-up product image should be around 500 x 500 pixels. If you do not have an image for this product, simply leave this field blank. To upload your blow-up product image you can either browse for an image file on your own computer or enter the full URL to the image file on an existing website.
   
Large Image : The large product image will be shown in your product detail page. It must be in either GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) format and not larger than 50K. For optimum effect, your large product image should be around 200 x 200 pixels. If you do not have an image for this product, simply leave this field blank.In case of 'No Image Available' default image will be used to represent your product instead. If you have an image for this product you can choose to upload it either by browsing for an image file on your own computer or entering the full URL to the image file on an existing website. Alternatively you can also let the system automatically create your large image for you by resizing your blow-up product image (if you have already uploaded it). You can specify the width and/or the height of the image or you can leave it blank and it will be set to a default size of 200 x 200 pixels.
   
Small Image : The small product image will be shown as a thumbnail image in the product list pages. It must be in either GIF (.gif) or JPEG (.jpg) format and no larger than 10K. For optimum effect, your small product image should be around 70 x 70 pixels. If you choose not to upload a small product image, then the default 'No Image Available' image will be used instead. To upload your small product image you can either browse for an image file on your own computer, enter the full URL to the image file on an existing website or let your Instantetore automatically create your Small Product Image from the Large Product Image that you have uploaded. You can specify width and/or height of the image. If you are unsure, then just leave it blank and the system will automatically resize your small product image to a maximum width/height of 80 pixels.
 
4) Product Description can be added in two ways:
  1. Normal Text
  2. HTML Code
Here you can also add any link and image through Image Manager .
 
5) Search Engine Keywords : You can add here Page Title, Meta Keywords and Meta description for every Product that will help you rank in Search Engines.
 
Edit & Delete Product:
 
The easiest way to Edit existing products is to click " Products/Product" from the left menu in the admin area, THEN click the "Product
Manager". Here you can see several fields like - Product Code, Modify, Set Order, Retailer Price, Stock, On Index, Special, Status, Cross Sales, Delete
 
1. Product Code : Code of the added product, when you click on it you will get the image of your product with its description.
2. Modify : Click on it you will get all the details of product that you filled at the time of adding this product.Here you can change any
 
of the info except product code then click on Modify button.To Edit Product options you have to click on "Edit Product Option" button at the upper right corner.now you can update
  the price, product options and MOQ(Minimum Order Quantity).
3. Set Order : Here you can set the order of the products
4. Retail Price : Here you can set or update the Price of the products.
5. Stock : Here you can set the available Stock for every product.
6. On Index : Here you select that product which you want to show on the Index Page by selecting "YES" from the combo for that
     Product and then Click on Update button at the end of page
7. Special : Here you will find three special features - New Arrivals, Todays Special and Best Sellers. for products and you can
  choose them for some Special Products.
8. Status : Here you can set the status of the products either Offline or Online.
9. Cross Sales : To set the cross sale product just click on Cross Sale button. First you have to search for product that you want to
  select as a cross sell item and then click o "add" as a cross sale item .
10. Delete : Just Click on the Delete Button to delete the product, if already a invoice has been generated for that product then
  firstly you have to delete that invoice and then delete product.
 
Put On Sale:
 
Fom the Left Menu in the admin area, click on the "Products/Product/Put on Sale". Here you can put the items that you want to put on Sale.
 
Put On Index:
 
Fom the Left Menu in the admin area, click on the "Products/Product/Put on Index ". Here you can select the items that you want to show on Index Page.
 
Image Gallery:
 
Fom the Left Menu in the admin area, click on the "Product/Products/Image Gallery ". Here you can make the Image Gallery for the
particular product like if you want to show the left , right, inner portion of any image, you can do it using this option.
 
Multiple Category Product :
 
You can add a single product in Multiple Categories from the left menu in the admin area, by clicking "Product/Products/In Multiple
Category" and similarly delete by clicking "Products/Product/Delete From Multiple Category"
 
Quantity Discount:
 
If you want to encourage your customer buy in bulk quantity so Just Click on the "Products/Product/Quantity Discount" in the Left
Menu of the Admin Area. Here you can set the Quantity Discount module for any Product.in which you can define diffrent discounts
values in terms of Percentage/Sale Price. It can be done with a couple of mouse clicks.
 
 
Bulk Upload:
 
It is a Two-step Process, First Step is to upload your products and Second Step is to upload Images.
To upload bulk product click on the "Products/Product/Bulk Upload Product" and follow the instructions below.
Instructions to Upload Bulk Products :
1. Download XLS Format with Sample Data By Clicking Here
2. Enter Record Accordingly in the Xls File (Please Do not Upload more then 200 records in Single Upload.
3. Save XLS file as .CSV(Comma Separated CSV File, Dont put any comma in your Product Specification)
4. Browse the CSV File
5. In the next page you will get the contents of the csv file
6. Verify the contents and click on the Upload Product Button.
7. You can Bulk Upload Images by making a .Zip File using Winzip of your Largest Images by clicking on Bulk Image
  Upload.
 
 
To upload bulk product click on the "Products/Product/Bulk Image Upload" and follow the instructions below.
Instructions to Upload Bulk Images :
1. Download Sample Product Images .Zip File By Clicking Here
2. Add Only the Largest Product Images in your .Zip File. (Images are auto resize for Thumbnails etc.)
3. Image name should not be of more then 8 characters.
4. Zip File Size should not be more then 4 MB in Single Upload. If your zip file has is more than 4 MB, you must split the
  zip file into multiple Zip File of 4 MB or less and run the process again.
5. File Upload is a time intensive process , it takes few minutes to upload your file
 
 
Digital Product:
 
Customers have the ability to automatically downloadsoftware through the Product Download feature.
 
 
 
 
 
Assembly Product :
 
By Clicking "Products/Assembly" link in the left menu of admin, you can create an assembled product.
